Sharlene begins her 3^rd year with Texas Eastside as a board member and as a coach. After coaching volleyball for a number of years with Goose Creek CISD and Barbers Hill ISD, Sharlene currently coaches at Barbers Hill High. She is married to Lance and her daughters, Taylor and Paige, currently compete with Texas Eastside 15’s and 12’s, respectively. Sharlene can be reached at sbarnett@bhisd.net.

John is in his initial season as a head coach with Texas Eastside. He has an extensive coaching experience at the high school level serving as varsity head coach at Channelview, Humble and Barbers Hill. John developed the Barbers Hill program from its start up in 2001 and has quickly turned it into a 4A powerhouse. A playoff contender year in and year out, John coached the team to the 3A UIL championship match in 2004. Candice is beginning her 1^st season coaching for TX Eastside. She is a 2002 college graduate of University of Texas Medical Branch with a degree in Nursing. Candice also attended Stephen F. Austin University. After a few years working in the medical field, Candice decided her first love was coaching and she now coaches volleyball with Pasadena ISD. Abby enters her first year of coaching for Texas Eastside during 2006. She is a sophomore at Lee College where she maintains a 3.5 GPA. Abby is a scholarship student athlete with Lee College Volleyball and has completed her JUCO playing career at Lee College. During the 2006 season, Abby was named to the Region XIV All-Conference and All-Region teams. She was also named Academic All-Conference during her freshman and sophomore campaigns. Meagan enters her first year of coaching for Texas Eastside during 2006. She is a sophomore at Lee College where she maintains a very high GPA. Meagan is a scholarship student athlete with Lee College Volleyball and has completed her JUCO playing career at Lee College. During the 2006 season, Meagan was named to the Region XIV All-Conference and All-Region teams. She was also named Academic All-Conference during her freshman and sophomore campaigns. Katy is a third year coach with Texas Eastside, previously having four years club coaching experience with both Gulf Coast Jr’s and Jefferson County Jr’s. She is a 2005 graduate of Lamar University with a Bachelor’s Degree earned in Kinesiology. At Lamar, Katy was a two-year scholarship student athlete with the Lady Cardinals. In 2002, she was named to the Southland Conference All-Conference Team and in 2003 she led the Lady Cardinals in digs. Katy, a graduate of Deer Park High, began her collegiate career at Lee College. While at Lee, Katy helped lead the Lady Rebels to a two-year record of 83-5, culminating in a NJCAA National Runner-Up placing in 2001. Katy earned All-Conference and All-Region honors while at Lee College in both 2000 and 2001. She is a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society and has received numerous academic awards during her collegiate years. Katy currently serves as the assistant coach at Lee College. Regina is in her first year coaching with Texas Eastside. She is a  college graduate and has coached for volleyball for seven years with Hardin ISD. Regina is currently the varsity head coach at Hardin High School. In 2006, her team finished with the best win-loss record in school history and were ranked as high as second in the TGCA 2A poll. The team lost in the playoffs in the area round just barely missing a state playoff berth. Traci has coached with Texas Eastside since the club was formed in 2002. She is a graduate of Henderson State University where she played collegiate volleyball. Prior to HSU, Traci played collegiately at Lee College in Baytown.  During her stellar playing career, Traci was a four-time selection to the NJCAA and NCAA-DI All-Conference & All-Region teams, respectively. Traci is currently teaching and coaching at Barbers Hill High School.  She has prior coaching experiences as an assistant at both Lee College and HSU (grad assistant).  Traci is married to Shawn and lives in Hamshire.  She can be reached at tgeorge@bhisd.net.

Alicia is beginning her fourth year with Texas Eastside in a coaching capacity. She is a graduate of Houston Baptist University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology. She was a collegiate student-athlete, participating as a scholarship athlete at both Lee College and HBU during her career. An all-around utility player, Alicia spent different portions of her career successfully playing the hitter, setter and defensive specialist positions. Alicia is currently the head varsity volleyball coach at Lee High School in Baytown. Alicia lives in Houston with her husband, Ricky, and two sons. Alicia can be contacted at alicia.salinas@gccisd.net.
